With a moving religious ceremony presided over by Father Milcíades at the Mario Correa Rengifo E.S.E. Departmental Hospital, we celebrated 52 years of service to the community. The commemorative event included a Mass of Thanksgiving, attended by staff and executives, highlighting the importance of this milestone for an institution that has established itself as a cornerstone of public health in Valle del Cauca.
Founded on June 21, 1972, by Decree 0901 of 1972, the hospital began as a center specializing in the treatment of respiratory diseases, particularly tuberculosis. Over time, we expanded our services to include areas such as emergency care, surgery, and inpatient care, becoming a leader in comprehensive medical care in the region.
During the celebration, the hospital’s director, Juan Carlos Corrales, highlighted the institution’s evolution and its vision for the future:
“The Mario Correa Rengifo Hospital not only has a history of growth and transformation but also a promising future. That is why we are working to implement projects that will help us continue innovating in technology and service quality, always with the mission of providing compassionate and timely care to our patients. These 52 years are a testament to the commitment of our entire team, and they inspire us to continue working with dedication to strengthen our institution and remain a leader in healthcare in Valle del Cauca.”
