In a symbolic ceremony, we welcomed the Governor of Valle del Cauca, Dr. Dilian Francisca Toro, who reaffirmed her commitment to the health of the people of Valle del Cauca and formally announced the allocation of $3.9 billion to our Mario Correa Rengifo Departmental Hospital. These funds are essential to ensuring the continuity of our services and strengthening our care for the community.
During the tour of our facilities, our manager, Juan Carlos Corrales, highlighted the effort and commitment of our entire team, which—despite the financial crisis in the healthcare sector—continues to work to overcome challenges and maintain the timely delivery of high-quality services.
“Despite the difficulties, we keep moving forward.” Since April 27, when lightning struck our facilities and damaged the electrical substation, we managed to restore service in less than 72 hours, demonstrating our responsiveness and commitment to our patients,” our manager noted.
Today, December 6, our occupancy rate remains above 75%, reflecting the community’s trust in our medium- and high-complexity services. In addition, we continue to move forward with new institutional projects that will improve our infrastructure and ensure more efficient and patient-centered care.
This visit reaffirms the collaboration between our hospital and the Departmental Government, strengthening our efforts to promote the health of the people of Valle del Cauca.
